Dwarf sunflower "Sunspot".
A low plant, whose height does not exceed 50 cm, can be successfully used for patio culture. Forms a compact bush with gigantic for such a plant, very bright inflorescences, reaching 20 cm in diameter.
Sunflowers are photophilous and thermophilic and cannot stand frosts. They grow well in a sunny, warm, wind-sheltered place with fertile, loose and neutral soil.
Sowing is done directly into the ground in mid-May, in nests of 2-3 seeds, at a distance of 35-45 cm.
Sunflowers can also be grown in seedlings, but in this case, it is necessary to provide the plant with a sufficient amount of light, otherwise, the stems will be weak and curved. Sunflower seedlings appear 6-8 days after sowing.
They are grown in flowerpots in front of the house, on large flowerbeds and flowerbeds as foreground plants, in a group on the lawn, and on balconies.
